Martin Weber

02 February 1971

Born in Tettnang near Lake Constance (Germany); second child of Walter Weber and Hedwig Weber.

1975

First musical role at the farewell of my brother Bernd from the kindergarten.

1980

First and only appearance as soloist at a christmas concert of the Steyler Mission's residential school in Aulendorf.

1985

Expulsion from the Accordion Orchestra Meckenbeuren due to missing musicality.

1987

First experiences as musician (bass) and singer in a dance band (one season).

1989

A rainy night in November. Created a first song during a guitar session with Markus Weber.

08 Jan 1990

Appearance during a fund-raising event for Aid for Bolivia.

1990

Shortly after Germany became world champion of soccer, I won a second place in a song contest with my song "SHE".

19 Mar 1993

First concert with own songs in the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus in Friedrichshafen.

13 Nov 1993

First presentation of a musical in the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus in Friedrichshafen.

19 Mar 1995

First presentation of a musical on the main stage in the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus in Friedrichshafen.

1995 - 1997

Attempted Cultural Management studies.

1998

Founded NAVISMO GbR, together with Bernd Weber and Waltraud Weber.

1997 - 1999

Attempted African/Phonetics studies.

2000 - 2002

Staging of the series of four Zeppelin musicals in Friedrichshafen.

2000

First visit to New York "Festival of New Musicals".

2002

Second visit to New York "3-day Intensive Program for New Producers".

2002

Meeting with Gundula Reinig, former assistent to Guenter Irmler, head of STELLA: "Mr. Weber, one day you'll write something nice - but Zeppelin doesn't sell!"

2002

Third visit to New York "3-day Intensive Program for New Producers".

Early 2003

Two-month stay in Hamburg. Conclusion by Mr. Struppek, Artistic Director of STAGE HOLDING: "Try to write something different than Zeppelin".

2003

Two-weeks stay in London. Met Douglas Botting. Started to research for "Lady Zeppelin".

July 2003

Premiere of the children's musical "Land der Blumen" (Land of Flowers) in Friedrichshafen. First time I believe a musical to be good enough to send it to a publishing house.

Dec 2003

Staging of "Marias Kind" (Marias Child). Although being an amateur production, the visitors were enthusiastic.

2004

Founding of the Musical Club Friedrichshafen, elaborating the German-Austrian production "Alamanni", membership in "Mercury Musicals Development", an composer's association.

August 2004

In Memorian of Hugo Eckener: "The Eckener Case", a play with music, staged on his 50th day of death.

December 2004

Several concerts with gospels, partly based on texts from a 19th century book.

2005

Further visits to London. "Lady Zeppelin" premieres in July.

November 2005

Moved to Gelnhausen/Hesse/Germany.

June 2006

Starting work at Frankfurt Airport.

December 2006

Soloist in the German-American-Community-Choir in Frankfurt.

August 2007

Moved to Raunheim/Hesse/Germany.

December 2007

After more than two years finally a new piece - "Mein Zeppelin (My Zeppelin)".

May 2008

Shooting for an image movie about "Magic Meersburg" (a small village at Lake Constance).
